What life is currently like for Kim!

Unfortunately this last siRNA treatment Kim received in Mexico didn’t work! On August 7th Kim’s airway was almost completely closed. Had she not had a trachea tube installed she would have suffocated! Kim’s airway has been completely closed off for over a month now. So she has no sense of smell now, nor is she getting oxygen to her brain by breathing through her nose. Friday when she was getting ready for her women’s prayer group. She was swabbing and rinsing her mouth out with water when a chunk of her tongue broke off and started bleeding. But she went to her prayer meeting regardless. Still trusting God! She’s has to get up every 45 minutes to an hour to clean her trachea tube or she will suffocate, so she never gets any real sleep! Her feeding tube is inflamed almost all the time because she’s constipated from her pain medication so therefore she can’t get food down her through her feeding tube which makes her weak and lose weight! As a result of the siRNA treatment not working and the cancer continuing to spread throughout tong throat and now her lungs she decided to try chemo one more time!
CHEMO TREATMENT I RECEIVED ON NOVEMBER 1, 2017 AT SEATTLE CANCER CENTER ALLIANCE PRE-TREATMENT MEDS:
  1. DEXAMETHATONE 10MG (STERIOD)
  2. BENADRYL 25MG
  3. ZOPHRAN 8MG (ANTI-NAUSEA)
  4. FAMITODINE 20MG (ANTI-REACTION/STOMACH)
CHEMO TREATMENT
  1. PACHTAXEL 90GM
  2. CARBOPLATIN 270MG (WEIGHT ADJUSTED)
  3. LEUCOVORIN 610MG (PREP FOR 5-FU)
  4. 5-FU 650MG

After Kim received the chemo treatment she was so completely wiped out to the point of having to discontinue any further treatments. As of Kim’s last visit to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance on November 22 at 9:00 AM, she decided to let her doctors know that she will no longer continue with the chemotherapy treatment prescribed. So the doctor recommended that hospice get involved which we are currently exploring that option! However she is still able to somewhat take care of herself. We are not sure how much hospice home care can really improve the quality of her life. We have not given up on God still healing her by a long shot! So we still would appreciate all of your prayers for a truly miracle healing!
